SILHOUETTES N5 represents the Fifth over Six elements of the SILHOUETTES collection which includes six very large oil paintings, sculptures, film, music, choreography, and live performance.

The oil painting is the portrait of my little cousin “CAROLINE” a beautiful 13 yo, who kindly offered her pure and youthful beauty to represent a very sensitive topic.
The project Silhouettes is dedicated to all the children of the world. The children who are suffering right now, are abused and slaved into wrongdoing or child labor, or worst. Also, my thoughts and my work are to honor the children and the ones who never grow up, who are handicapped physically or mentally.
This topic touches me profoundly, as a parent myself of a special needs young man, with SILHOUETTES N5, I am reaching out to all of you to raise awareness!!! If you see a child in need don’t turn around, please help them to grow in a healthy and loving environment, as we are all responsible. It always starts with the number "1" (SILHOUETTES N1)!
For my installation, I am using recycled materials made by factories using child labor to accentuate this horrible and tragic topic.
I have painted this image vertically to be installed in a curve from the ceiling down to the floor, allowing the top part (the face) to be paralleled to the ceiling facing down and the remaining half vertically down to the floor. The hair follows the flow of the paint strokes growing out of the canvas, to end in purified waters for an immersive purification.
